Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about RV consignment with Shawn

Getting Started

What's your commission rate?

Our commission is competitive and based on your RV's value. Typically, we charge a percentage of the final sale price - the exact rate depends on your RV's condition and market value. Shawn will discuss specific rates during your initial consultation call. No hidden fees, 100% transparent.

What happens after I submit my RV info?

Within 24 hours, Shawn will personally call you to discuss your RV, answer questions, and provide a preliminary market value assessment. If you'd like to move forward, he'll explain the consignment agreement and process. No pressure, no obligation.

How long is the consignment agreement?

Our standard agreement is 90 days, which gives us plenty of time to market your RV effectively. Most RVs sell within 2-3 weeks, but the 90-day term ensures we can find the right buyer at the right price. Early termination options are available - Shawn will explain during your call.

The Process

How long does it typically take to sell my RV?

Most RVs sell within 2-3 weeks thanks to our professional marketing and network of 10,000+ active buyers. High-end luxury units or specialty RVs may take a bit longer, but we work aggressively to get results. We'll give you realistic timeline expectations during your consultation.

Can I still use my RV while it's on consignment?

That depends on your situation! Some owners prefer to leave their RV with us for easy showings, while others want to continue using it until it sells. Shawn will work with you to find an arrangement that works best for your needs. Just let us know about scheduled trips so we can coordinate showings.

Do I need to be present for showings?

Absolutely not! That's one of the biggest benefits of consignment. We handle ALL showings, test drives, and buyer questions. You don't have to deal with strangers, tire-kickers, or endless phone calls. We pre-qualify every buyer before scheduling a showing.

What if my RV doesn't sell?

While this is rare (we have a 95%+ success rate), if your RV hasn't sold by the end of the consignment period, we'll discuss options: adjust pricing, extend the agreement, or return the RV to you. There's no penalty or fee if it doesn't sell - we only get paid when you do.

Paperwork & Payment

Do you handle all the paperwork?

Yes! We manage everything - title transfers, bill of sale, lien releases, DMV paperwork, and closing documents. We've processed over 3,000 RV sales, so we know exactly what's needed. You'll just need to sign a few forms, and we'll walk you through each one.

How do I get my money after the sale?

Once your RV sells and all paperwork is complete (usually 3-5 business days), you receive payment via check or direct deposit - your choice. We handle secure payment processing to protect both you and the buyer. No waiting months like some consignment services.

What if there's a lien on my RV?

No problem! We handle liened RVs all the time. We'll coordinate payoff with your lender as part of the closing process. You'll receive the difference between the sale price, commission, and remaining loan balance. Shawn will explain the exact numbers during your consultation.

Service Details

What types of RVs do you accept?

We accept most RVs including Class A, Class B, Class C motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, and toy haulers. We focus on units in good to excellent condition with clean titles. Call Shawn to discuss your specific RV - even if it's unique or specialty, we may be able to help!

Do you provide professional photos?

Yes! Professional photography is included in our service. We take high-quality photos of your RV's exterior, interior, features, and any special upgrades. Great photos are critical to attracting buyers, and we know exactly how to showcase your RV's best features.

Where will my RV be listed?

We list on all major RV platforms including RV Trader, Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, and our own website. Plus, we market to our private network of dealers and buyers. Your RV gets maximum exposure to serious buyers.

Can I set a minimum price?

Absolutely! You set the minimum acceptable price, and we won't accept any offers below that without your approval. That said, Shawn will provide honest market feedback to ensure your minimum is realistic. Overpricing kills sales, so we'll work together to find the sweet spot.
